Juno is not very impressed with having only half her breakfast this morning and no treats while we were playing/training in the garden although she's now crashed out on the doormat in the sun! I expect she will not be too pleased not getting a Dentastix after we have lunch either but today's the day for the scan so no food for the anaesthetic. The appointment isn't until 5 pm but at least the results are discussed with us afterwards (that could be interesting if they don't speak English!) and then speak to Jean-Baptiste tomorrow to discuss next steps following the diagnosis. I tjink I'll be glad to get today over and done with
Re: A long day..... Ah it will be a long day for you Hope you can keep busy and Juno isn't too sad at being starved. Special treats and cuddles for her later I imagine
Re: A long day..... So lucky with Juno, she's such a quiet gentle girl. Had lunch and when I moved Juno got up to follow me as normal and just sat and looked at me waiting for her chew to no avail - I wouldn't make eye contact with her, she'd only make me feel guilty. After a few hopeful looks and sitting by my feet she's now given up and is crashed out across her bed dozing. Actually looking forward to the time to get in the car for the drive! Don't think she'll get much to eat this evening by the time she comes round from the anaesthetic taking by how she was after the x-rays 2 weeks ago. Still can make up for it tomorrow
Re: A long day..... Home and fed, that's us not Juno, she's no food until tomorrow morning following the anaesthetic. Feeling more positive following the scan which shows a small chip of bone in her right elbow and a slight deformation of the bones - mainly not as smooth and a small gap but the left elbow is fine. it's weird because he original diagnosis was for the left with the right being in better condition. Hopefully Jean-Baptiste will have the scan photos tomorrow by email so I can speak to him about the surgery. Fingers crossed that we will soon be fit and active again and able to join in the dog walks with her four legged friends.
Re: A long day..... Hope it goes well and that you will soon have a plan of treatment. Keep us posted on how it goes!
