I just wanted to share this story with you.

My neighbour has a Flatcoat Sid who is 8 years old and had NO recall all his life and hated all dogs. The owner has worked her socks off with him working on his recall and she has walked with our local dog walker and a little Jack Russell for a couple of years which has helped him enormously. I met the dog walker this morning who was so pleased to tell me that the Sid now goes off lead and interacts with Woody the Fox Red Labrador and the Jack Russell :D Still some caution is necessary with dogs he is not sure about and he can still go for a 'wonder' but a massive improvement.

He was so reactive with all dogs that all dog owners knew to give him space, so Sid would approach in the distance and I would sit Hattie whilst they crossed the road and all was calm for him and now gradually with time he can now pass Hattie and other dogs with just a glance. I am so thrilled for Jane and this positive outcome, which goes to show perserverance and training wins the day :D xxx

Ah that's brilliant. Just goes to prove patience and hard work does pay off. Well done Sid.
