We spent the weekend at my mother's 90th birthday party which was a fabulous day with lots friends, noise and laughter. Unfortunately couldn't take Holly. Apart from the difficulty of having a dog in the hotel we could imagine the chaos a young Lab could cause among all those zimmer frames! Brother-in-law dog sat for us. Gosh, did we miss our girl! No-one begging for food, we had the bed to ourselves, there was no head in the rear view mirror, no-one to warm my feet, no contented snore from the foot of the bed, no game of chase-around-the-furniture with a tennis ball, and I had to fetch my own slippers! When we got home tonight we got a high-energy welcome while she tried to say hello to both of us at the same time. Everything's back to normal now, apart from brother-in-law who's had no sleep for 48 hours
Re: A weekend without Holly My Dad calls a home or people without a Labrador as being in "the sad state of lablessness". Glad you came home to a Lab.
Re: A weekend without Holly Glad to hear the pack is back together. Holly will soon put you both back in your rightful places.
Re: A weekend without Holly Been spending some time at my parent's house as my mum is in hospital. Gosh I DO miss a self-cleaning floor when I am in the kitchen! I certainly was feeling the lablessness
Re: A weekend without Holly I'm away at my sister's tonight...feeling the lablessness here too... :-\
Re: A weekend without Holly
My Dad calls a home or people without a Labrador as being in "the sad state of lablessness".
Haha, that's great Glad that you have now been reunited with the lovely Holly!
Re: A weekend without Holly Reunited, but just to be parted again! I'm sat in Heathrow Terminal 5 waiting for a flight to Munich. Last night she slept on our bed for a few minutes, then sloped off to spend the rest of the night with brother in law. We think it was a protest. Tonight BIL is gone, and she's got Ruth for company. Poor Holly mustbe very confused
Re: A weekend without Holly Have you got a hair with you? Silly question, really. Of course you have. Probably hundreds. Sorry to hear of your lablessness. Hopefully your trip will go fast and you'll be back with Holly in no time.
Re: A weekend without Holly I've already planted hairs in BA check in and T5 security. Tonight I'll replenish the hairs in the Aigner hotel and Munich passport control. Tomorrow it's my boss's office and the engineering workshops.
Re: A weekend without Holly I left one in the overhead bin. They never clean the bins so it might find another passengers coat or bag, and start a journey around the world. I also left one inside my passport. When the guy opened it I saw the hair fall out so there is definitely one in immigration at Munich. I still have quite a few on my trousers and jacket so this could be quite a productive trip
Re: A weekend without Holly I'm sat in the departure lounge at Munich airport on my way home. Very much looking forward to seeing Holly sometime around midnight. Apart from the fact that she gives a really wonderful welcome, I need to and replenish my stock of dog hairs!
