    Horrible photo, poor dog. So strange I never heard of this till I got on a mainly UK board. The other board I'm on for Labs is owned by a Canadian and most members are Canadian or from the U.S. and I don't recall ever seeing anything about Alabama Rot there.

    I'd never heard of it either. My Google search doesn't seem to show a history of cases in Australia so I think that's why I've never heard of it.

    It sounds and look horrid.

    I seem to recall (although could be wrong) that the Alabama Rot in the US is specific to greyhounds?? I don't have time to look it up now, but will try later.

    I think I saw something saying that the difference between Alabama rot in the UK and the US was that the UK strain wasn't breed specific like in the US. So I think you're right
