Two "some people grr" events today: I took Chepi into Pets At Home for emergency supply of her food and a delightful (really) lady took a shine to her and before I could stop her gave her a dog biscuit. I am keen not to give Chepi stuff I don't know about. Then after a brilliant walk in Bushy Park another lab owner stroked and cuddled her and let her dog interact with her only to say as he was going that his dog has fox mange! Fox mange is really contagious! How maddeningly wrong is that? Or am I just too soft?

Re: Another :"some people grr!" I too would have been horrified by the 'mange man'. Having just looked on wikipedia however it appears there are 2 types, one of which isn't contagious. So fingers crossed it was that one! (It says that dogs with sarcoptic mange should be isolated.) Do hope Chepi is all right. The biscuit - well, yes she should have asked, but I suspect Chepi will eat a lot worse than that before she's fully grown.

Re: Another :"some people grr!" Hopefully the dog wasn't contagious - otherwise it was a terribly irresponsible thing to do. The biscuit. Well, that's life. People should ask, but hopefully no harm done.
