Just thought I'd post that the University of Pennsylvania have just started a research project on chew hardness and what is acceptable and safe for dogs. It'll probably take a couple of years to report, but watch this space!

Re: Antlers/hard chews for dogs Mine showed absolutely no interest either and they sat in their dog box for months. In the end I soaked them as advised and all that did was to make bloody water and then it leaked out on the carpet. So it is a 'no' from me.
Re: Antlers/hard chews for dogs Holly loves antlers. She carries them around with her and usually settles down for a chew after her evening walk.
