In Holland we have an App called doggy dating. You can join here and when someone is about to make a long walk our phone barks. You can tell in which area you want to walk!
We have a SW Forum Walk group that meet up every couple of months, usually in the Forest of Dean or in Bristol / outskirts of Bristol. We all met through here and love meeting up on a regular basis. I think the most we have had is around 11 dogs and their owners on a walk. We have been meeting for around 2 years I think. There has also been a forum walk as well in Warwickshire I think. No problem setting up walks with people on here with others who live locally. It's up to individuals if they want to arrange a walk or attend.
The first SW meeting was 21st April 2014 at the Old Station near Chepstow. The original quartet of dogs (Holly, Harley, Benson and Pongo) still turn up for most walks and have become great pals, as have their humans. We meet most months and have had some memorable walks together. I'd thoroughly recommend starting an informal group like this because of the socialising opportunities it gives to the dogs, and the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with other Lab owners. Just for fun, this was taken at our first meeting.
Yes we have a Warwickshire walkies, myself @SwampDonkey and @leejane. We have had two walks so far which have been such fun and plan to have many more.
I’ve hunted about for some but not found any, and even asked if anyone is from Norfolk and not got any replies so I guess that means no or no one wants to meet up. We find this a lot that no one wants to approach us as he is wearing his work coat but when he running offlead I take it off and yet people still won’t approach.
Hi - I'm nearby in Altrincham (work in Stockport but without the dog!) - we have a yellow Lab/Retriever cross who is close to 6 months old. She loves other labs and bounces all over them. I'd be happy for a doggy walk.
