I'm thinking of getting a bag to take on walks with me, to put leads, dummies etc in. I already have a treat bag that holds my clicker and poo bags, so it would just be for the larger items, especially once summer comes and I don't have such big pockets. Re: Bag for walks? I have a combination of bum bag and an old hand/shoulder bag I use. Also a light cotton gilet with big pockets. Depending on walk I use any or all of them.
Re: Bag for walks? Having rejected training vests for absolutely ages (just too gundoggy), I now use my training vest all the time. I've just "got over" how it looks and find it the most practical thing ever. Treats in one front pocket, mobile etc in the other, toys in the back. It's fab. Much more comfortable than a bag. Firedog now do them in lovely colours, although mine is sludgy green, unfortunately - thinking I'll treat myself to a light blue one for summer though.
Re: Bag for walks? That bag looks fine I use a small fishing bag for a couple of dummies or a few tennis balls with a short chucker. It will also hold a lead, clicker, treats and poo bags. It's got a waterproof lining which is handy if stuff gets muddy/wet and has two smaller pockets on the front. For winter my Barbour has massive pockets so I don't use it so much. I have a large game bag and a training vest for bigger days out. Re: Bag for walks? I wouldn't be without my training vest. I also wear it when out rough shooting to carry game. In fact I have two, one is by Firedog. Not cheap but very good.
Re: Bag for walks? I use a black nylon across the shoulder bag from M& S. It has 3 zipped compartments. I use the largest for phone, keys, tissues, poo bags etc. Medium sized for training kibble. Smallest for high quality treats.
Re: Bag for walks? My training vest has a fleece lining so it's quite warm. I may have another one coming for summer use (it's not green!)
Re: Bag for walks? I've got a cross-shoulder bag but don't find it very comfortable, especially when I'm not wearing a coat in summer (think boobs!), so I carry a light-weight back-pack.
Re: Bag for walks? Untitled by Elly Gold, on Flickr This is my latest bag. The one you looked at looks big enough but I would never have the flap closed. I have this bag adapted inside. I adapted a small treat bag with the bottom of a plastic bottle. It means it can be stored in the fridge and cleaned daily. Each zipped compartment works for me. The training vests are looking promising.
