Hi all, We're currently staying at a holiday cottage in Kingswear, Devon. Twice this week we have had unannounced visitors (gardener and maintenance man). Both times Harvey heard them and barked very loudly. Now, I'm actually quite pleased that he did this initially. If it was an undesirable character visiting then the bark was certainly such that they would have second thoughts! However, I'd like Harv to stop barking once we tell him that everything is ok - how do we go about doing this? (We took him out to meet the gardener, who was a dog lover, but this didn't seem to help).
Re: Barking - letting the dog know when enough is enough Hi Uncle Bob. I'd suggest you train a quiet cue. First you have to put he bark on cue as well though. Now don't tell me off. :-\. I know you explained to me how to do links but I still can't. If you search for 'what am I doing wrong', a thread I started on the clicker board, Racheal explained how to train a quiet cue. It works as well. ;D PS you can't search for 'what am I doing wrong' it doesn't work. It's clicker board, page 2, 8th thread down Going to go and find those instructions you posted for me about doing links and learn it properly.
Re: Barking - letting the dog know when enough is enough Now your just showing off Using a word as a link and in pink. ;D Thank you. ;D
