I'm so happy, I hoped but never really believed that Poppy would accept Merlin so fast. I certainly never expected her to love him, play with him, and teach him in the kind, long-suffering yet firm way she does. She is Gold, my girl. It helps that Merlin has great bite inhibition - while they play quite roughly, he never seems to nip her, and I have to say he is very gentle with his mouth, for a Labrador puppy. I wonder if that is because he grew up with seven adult dogs, as well as his litter siblings? Anyway, I am really pleased with him, he's a lovely boy, and very greedy so training, so far, is going very well. Very happy puppy mother here.
Oh my goodness, what a truly lovely photo , they both look completely relaxed in one another`s company , beautiful x
So happy Poppy and Merlin are such good friends and yet again another fantastic photo. Thanks for sharing Karen xx
We're going to need a bigger bed... This is Poppy's space under OH's desk in his studio. Hahaha - he's certainly made himself at home!!!
Awww soooo cute and hasn't Merlin grown I'm feeling a little jittery as I can see they have their collars on. It still makes me fill quite ill to remember what happened to Hattie & Charlie xx
They don't normally have their collars on in the house Helen. They must have just come in from a walk or something - OH is not quite as careful as I am!!! Although it's a little tricky as Poppy has the Scalibor collar and while it would break if the pup really got hold of it obviously I don't want him mouthing it. So it's a bit of 'put the collar on, take the collar off'...
