It was becoming painfully obvious that Edsel needed more to occupy his mind and time and jaws! A trip to my local meat processor and one big bag of raw beef bones has resulted in 2 hours of uninterrupted work time. Curious if my customers can hear the gnawing in the background over the phone. ;D

I bet he's loving it :) But just be careful with beef leg bones. Edsel sounds like a determined chewer who will get right into the hard bits of the bone. Over time that will wear at his teeth and there is a risk of tooth breakage too.

Thanks Rachael, any advice on the raw bones is welcomed. New to me though I have been reading quite a bit before giving it a go. The bone had quite a lot of bits left on it and I took it out of his crate once he'd picked it over. I also keep him in the crate in my office where I can supervise. He is quite the chewer and it's going to be a job to find items to fill the bill!
