    Good morning everyone,
I’ve seen a few threads on bloat. However, none seem to fit the circumstances of my boy. He’s 13 moths old and only had an issue for the last three weeks or so. Every time he eats he bloats up until he’s had a good belch or broken wind. We have changed his diet from dry food twice a day in a slow feeder to raw four time a day and it has made no difference at all. The vet gave him a course of antacids which seemed to help a bit but not significantly. I’m thinking maybe it’s something missing in his diet rather than what he’s eating and
I wondered if anyone else has had this situation before. The vet seems a little at a loss.

Is he licking a lot or panting a lot and swallowing air?

Hi @Emsybam some dogs do suffer chronic bloat, which we look at briefly with some links to other resources and ideas for prevention in this article on our Happy Puppy Site. You'll need a vet to confirm a diagnosis though - perhaps ask for a second opinion if your usual vet is unsure.

No, he hasn’t shown signs of twisted gut but I’m concerned he’s at risk of it..
