Just have to share ! Have just sat in armchair and drank not one but two cups of tea - and my 5 month old puppy has not tried to chew me half to death! Nor pulled my clothes or split my tea! Just lay on the sofa (oh hey I can work on that!), and nodded off. At long last. She has been the ultimate "crocopup" since 8 wks. I do hope this is going to last. So take heart all those with biting puppies !

I don't want to jinx it, but I've also noticed a massive difference, starting at 4.5 months. I didn't believe she'd ever stop biting, and it's not gone completely, but the improvement is amazing. So yes, take heart fellow crocopup owners!

I wonder if super-croc Betsy has improved? @JulieT hasn't been around in a few weeks.

Stanley's 5 months and still bites, not as bad, but he does. Little grotbag.

I've been very busy! Training my dogs - and working, and stuff....just lots on.

Bitey McBite Face is now mainly just called Shorty (or Fat Bottomed Girl). She is very short, and has a very big bottom. I'm hoping she will grow upwards a bit more and her front end will catch up....

She still nips and nibbles (and jumps up) but has largely stopped the large scale ripping of clothes and human skin. My friend is NEVER going to stop repeating the story of how Betsy jumped up, bit her bum, ripped her legging, then pulled them down round her knees. Nope, that story will be doing the rounds to illustrate what a terrible puppy I have for some time to come yet! :D:D:D

My question is, did you manage to apply the quick-run-for-collar-grab that time, or were you too busy wiping the tears of laughter away? :D

That must be such a relief! I wasn't at all keen on the biting phase, hope it doesn't come back.

Ah yes, musn't jinx, and I know there's still a long way to go before I have the dog I wish for, but , you get glimpses of that and yesterday was one of them !

The little glimpses are the only thing that keeps me going when I'm in the depths of puppiness. You catch a tiny bit of the future and think wow you're going to be wonderful.

In the house and garden, my dogs don't wear collars. I don't go to grab the dog, I go to grab the resource! You can't do this outside, off lead, you mostly have to grab the dog. I thought Betsy was doing a good enough job grabbing my friend's bum without me joining in! :D

I had a conversation with hubby the other day. I told him how many puppy owners were having problems with crocodile bity manic pups. Of course Homer, asleep next to us, was never like that. Hubby replies, well I did used to wear your thick gardening gloves whenever I played with him. Maybe like child birth you love them so much you forget the pain.
