A few weeks ago I brought a new harness which has D rings front and back with a double ended lead. It has helped tremendously when walking, as if she pulls it is easier to control her by gently pulling the front of the lead so it's not hurting my back and neck so much :). She is improving, but difficult at the start of walks, then off lead, then brilliant walking back.
Anyway, went to PAH this morning with Harley, got out of the car, she walked nicely to the store and all the way around it :) she was fussed by several customers who couldn't believe she was only 9 months old and so calm :D so pleased as this is the first time in a long time that she hasn't pulled at all :D

    That is lovely to hear!
Well done you both. Makes such a difference when you don't anticipate each walk as a battle.

I'm really, glad you are seeing improvement, pulling can get you down and you certainly don't need the extra strain to your neck.glad it was a nice trip to PAH,did you get anything? X

Well done. Tell me more about the harness. Molly is about to need a new piece of walking equipment and I was thinking about a change.

Harley is about 6 weeks older than Molly so I find your experiences very useful.

We keep chipping away with the training. It's boring and respective, and eventually you get the payback and it works.

This is Tatze's harness, called 'Easy Walk'. You can see the 'D' ring at the front. I love it, but know others who don't. Our trainer recommends them to everyone. The good thing is they are not expensive to try out. It doesn't rub her at all and she never pulls :)

She had medium size 'till she was 9 months old, now she has large.

Hi there thanks for this. We are second week out walking with Meg. She is learning well and not a massive puller. However, I have still ordered one of these. Anything that kindly supports training has to be worth a shot, cheers :)

Harley's harness is an easy walker, similar to Tatze's. I got it from Pets at home, it isn't that expensive and is padded :)
We brought lots of rice bones, hedgehogs and a few filled bones, a rope ball and 2 kong tennis balls - all compliments of hubby's card ;)
