i have seen a couple of ants in my kitchen, before my life as been changed, i would have had ant powder all over the kitchen, i am aware i can not use this with my little fella, any one know what i can use to rid them please ?
Re: can any one help me please I haven't had this problem since having a dog but you used to be able to get a small tin that you pierced two holes in. There was something in their that attracted the ants inside where they met their demise.... That could be dog friendly but you'd need to double check
Re: can any one help me please thank you, jac, you came up trumps again, just read this, going to have a look tomorrow where they are coming from, i think from the kitchen window cill, i want to stop this, as i know that it will go out of control, i will read up on every thing from your link, thank you so much
Re: can any one help me please Sorry to interfere guys, but I would prefer not to have any links to PETA from this forum Thanks Pippa
Re: can any one help me please Here is an article I wrote about ants a while back (pest control used to be my 'day job' ;D) . The key usually lies in finding what is attracting them.
Re: can any one help me please A lady of many talents methinks Pippa. Apologies to the forum for the previous link. Things crawling over the floor usually don't stand a chance in our house Jac

[/quote] How about that We just try to eliminate the source too. There is often a jar of something sweet that they are going for (in my cupboard anyway!!!). I do feel kinda bad about giving them the poisons that they take back to their nest, since that kills the whole colony. Often I just get some long lasting spray and spray it thoroughly in the spot that they seem to be coming in through, as well as locating the tasty jar they are after and cleaning up my cupboard properly ;D
