Re: Can anyone find a home for this old boy ? Being a home for older dogs is exactly what I envision for myself, once I'm retired. I bought my puppy, Daisy, this year because I'm thinking she will be the last young dog I acquire. By the time she is 10 or so, she may be the only dog in my life, so I plan on taking on a few of those older dogs who, through no fault of their own, find themselves homeless. I'll have the geriatric brigade! : When I'm in my 70s, a young puppy would be too much (plus, I don't want to leave a younger dog homeless when I die!), but a couple of senior canines would be just my speed. ;D I hope some kindly soul will provide this old guy with a loving home for his last couple years. :-\
Re: Can anyone find a home for this old boy ? No,it was a stray and now being rehomed by kennels in Suffolk who take council strays. Should I not have posted it as not with a breed rescue ? Sorry, if I haven't done the right thing Chloe
Re: Can anyone find a home for this old boy ? How sad that he should find himself without his home at his age.
Re: Can anyone find a home for this old boy ? It's sad when dogs like this aren't lucky enough to be in a breed rescue Chloe
Re: Can anyone find a home for this old boy ? What a lovely old dog! Really hope he finds somewhere lovely to retire...
Re: Can anyone find a home for this old boy ? Just given them a call..hopefully to find out a little bit more about him, there is possibly someone local who can foster him
Re: Can anyone find a home for this old boy ? He looks gorgeous. I would seriously think of fostering him if he were near to me…
Re: Can anyone find a home for this old boy ? Just heard and I could cry He is a lovely old gent, only gets a bit "grumbly" if he thinks you are going to hurt him. Nice manners, age hard to determine when a dog is over 7 years apparently. The only problem is they are not sure about cats and we have 3....They will contact the various Labrador agencies if they can't re-home him themselves. Quite fit and healthy in all other respects.
Re: Can anyone find a home for this old boy ? Kate - thanks for finding out a bit more about him. Shame they can't test the cat issue but maybe in foster they would be able to find out ? He isn't far from me but my Ruby wouldn't take too kindly to a boy joining her and Bella! Chloe
Re: Can anyone find a home for this old boy ? I think a foster home would be ideal, a sort of stepping stone to a more permanent home, they really don't have any history on the poor old boy, think they are all quite fond of him
Re: Can anyone find a home for this old boy ? Any updates on this lovely old chap? Gosh, if he were in Germany I'd take him, no question. He looks just like my old Bones…
