    Hi All you Lab lovers,

This is my second post in this section, as you may recall I had once written on 'stray dog bite' to Naughty my 9 month old bundle of joy and lots of pain and anguish. This time he has got what the vet calls the canine cough and the poor chap is not well,BTW the dog bite is now heeled ;D .....so the doc gave him a shot yesterday and has prescribed Augmentic 625 mg tablets one daily for a period of 7 days......

    I hope it helps

    Regards,

    Anil

Hi Anil, glad to hear that the bite has cleared up finally - that's great news. But it's a bit miserable about the canine cough... My dog, Obi, had that too when he was younger and he too was prescribed an antibiotic (shot and tablets) to help him get over it, and to prevent any secondary bacterial infection. At first he had a terrible cough (was coughing so much he kept vomiting his food up). He was pretty good again within a week :) I hope that Naughty recovers just as quickly.

So sorry to hear your boy is poorly. I hope he responds to the drugs.

Very glad to hear you got the bite healed up in the end though, well done.

Thanks for replying Rachael, Julie T and Iynnelogan

Its always nice to know that there are people who care

Most of the credit for curing the previous injury goes to my darling daughter (she's just 12 :))

Its said that dogs take on themselves some of the bad things that are destined to befall their owners so I must thank Naughty for suffering

    Cheers

My dog weighed exactly the same at 9 months :) He is a couple of kilos heavier now that he is nearly 2. Some Labs just aren't that huge :)
