I have a 11 year old chocolate lab she has always had a routine of running around the living room and barking when we come home recently when she tries to bark either nothing comes out or a coughing noise comes out..She seems aware that she's not barking because it seems to aggravate her..kennel cough has been ruled out..anyone have any other ideas..iam taking her in for some chest xrays next week
Hi @Holly Donovan Unless she is running short of water or her throat is inflammed from lunging while on lead, this question is definitely one for a vet.
