My girls love carrots. I was wondering if any of y'all fed your labs carrots, too?

Yes, Digby likes a bit of carrot. Although to be honest I don't think there is anything he wouldn't eat :-[

I hadn't thought of broccoli stalks. Does it make him gassy like it does humans?

yep my two love a bit of carrot. I stick a chunk of carrot in a kong in the morning and getting it out keeps them quiet for a bit while I get that important pre walk coffee in...

Oh that's good. I'll have to try the kong trick. Zoey usually fusses when I leave for work. It helps to distract her.

Haven't tried carrots but she loves sprouts. They do give rise to gassification though.

    Re: Carrots

My lot eat all veggies, fruit and salad too, they get something everyday usually raw but sometimes cooked leftovers. Juno didn't like chicory (but would nick onions if she could, not good for dogs apparently but never bothered her!) and almost killed herself by stealing about three pounds of plums straight from the tree, the stones caused a bit of a blockage  , Maia's not too keen on mushroom or celery, Hebe loves a raw potato and so far I haven't found anything she won't eat, Finn liked tomatoes but not peppers, Bracken wouldn't leave my side until she'd had her segment of orange. Most things don't have an adverse reaction except Savoy cabbage for some reason, so they don't get much of that.
They are so partial to their "five a day" that we have had to move the veggie rack.

Lilly likes most veg she has been given including frozen green beans.
Not keen on fresh green beans though, and oddly she spat out parsnip the other day.
    Funny creatures.

Our boy likes chunks of raw pumpkin and raw sweet potato. Big pieces are good as teeth cleaners :)

I thought raw potato wasn't good for dogs??? Poppy eats peas, spinach, carrots, snap peas, broccoli, red peppers, corgettes - all raw or cooked. She also likes potatoes and parsnips (cooked).

I just gave Amy a bit of apple, she enjoyed playing with it! Not sure if she ever eat it.

Lady loves apple. In the summer on our walks we often share an apple sitting under a favourite tree. She eats the core too. She also like pears, but not citrus fruit in any form. Last year I was walking with a friend and his dog and he was eating an apple when lady flashed passed and stole it out of his hand. very funny and embarassing at the same time.

I don't know about raw white potato but raw sweet potato is fine - the kind that's long and pointed at both ends and orange in the middle.

Endless amusement feeding them fruit and veg. Lochan will eat absolutely anything and in large quantities if given the chance but Tarkie is much more particular. She always takes what is on offer cos Lochan has some, but then runs about the house carrying it because (a) she doesn't like it but (b) Lochan is not going to get it....My particular favourite is giving them cherry tomatoes. Tarkie appears to dislike it when she bites into them and they explode in her mouth (will eat tomatoes chopped up) so the current record is carrying a cherry tomato and keeping it away from Lochan for an hour and a half. Hee hee, keeps them busy!
