Do you think this a good plan for Charlie?

David walks Charlie at stupid o'clock each morning, doing obedience along the way, when he gets back to the park he does retrieves with a tennis ball (the desire is getting pretty high) and has been for a some months now, he always whistles a recall on his return with it. They move around the park using different areas each day. David hopes to move through the gate onto the track adjacent to a field to do just a few retrieves but is it too soon?

I train recall and stop whistle in the paddock along with lots of obedience - not every day.

Practising 'snake' retrieving in the HOUSE, every other day as I want the desire to be HIGH.

Should David be walking in some other areas now to enable Charlie to behave in the same way on different locations as we have been doing with Total Recall? Is it too soon to move on because his retrieving is always such a delicate thing and we obviously don't want to damage it, after all it's only been 2 years ::)

    Thanks Helen xx

Gosh Helen, that sounds pretty good... Hard to say with Charlie though, he's such an individual, I think you have to go with your instincts about him...
