    Hiya all

Was after some advice on chicken wings

    1) skin on or off

    2) how many for 5 month old

    3) should I still give a little bit of kibble???

Trying to keep her really entertained tonight to counteract any fireworks

Took her for 2mile off lead walk today to try and tire her out.( is this too much?).....think we will sleep just as well as her

Hope tonight isn't too bad for doggy folk

    :)

    Skin on.

I can't help with how many - Willow just gets one for lunch. But be aware that you can't just feed chicken wings as a whole diet - there's too high a percentage of bone. You need other meaty stuff, too. There's more information in the raw feeding section. I think I saw the information on ratios of meat to bone etc, but if it's not there, there's other resources I've seen online that may be of help. Pippa's a good resource because she feeds raw.

Thanks for the replies, I've given her 2 and hope it doesn't starve her :(

She is going to be fed skinners and the odd meal replaced by raw, we just don't have the space or the funds to feed her completely on raw, I would if I could though.

She did well with them, I put her in her cage and she chewed them instead of swallowing whole

Willow chews them to break all the bones and then swallows them whole, just slightly crushed! Don't worry if they come back up, let her give them another go. It just makes it easier to digest :)

My dog gets chicken wings for his breakfast sometimes and he only gets two, so giving two to your girl won't starve her :) The only other meal my dog gets is a 100g tin of sardines, so the chicken wings would be his major meal (also gets training treats and a pig ear or similar).

    Thanks for the replies

She has slept most of the evening so must be content.

Think I was worried as 2 wings don't seem a lot, I would hate for her to be hungry!!

Going to see if our local butcher does rabbit, is half ok for one meal, think I need some more resources so better get googling.

I bought a rabbit and portioned it into 13 pieces (including the head), each of which was around the size of a chicken wing. Maybe it was just a big rabbit, though :)
