Well it's just 48hrs after her op on both elbows. Hmmmmm! Her apetite has come back with a vengence. She has leapt onto the sofa twice. She has rushed to the window once (then put in her bed) She has been for two short 10 minute walks complete with a wee but no pooh! She keeps asking to go in the garden. Then asking to come back in. She refused water until 10 minutes ago just as I was starting to get seriously worried and has just drunk a whole bowlful. When she's under close supervision I've given her some respite from the collar, but to be honest it's the only really effective way of slowing her down merely because she hasn't figured out how to allow for it's diameter when negotiating objects. Your sincerely, Frantic of Tunbridge Wells.
Re: Convalescing .....not! "We" have now just licked out our 2nd yoghurt pot - and I'd just got her to her target weight of 27kg - doh!
Re: Convalescing .....not! Dear Frantic , oh you are in a tizzy which is understandable given the circumstances . It seems to me that the patient is coming on leaps and bounds ( pardon the pun ) and for yourself , I prescribe a largee glass of something alcoholic to calm your nerves, purely medicinal of course and not to be made a habit of , sincerely , wine swiller of Cornwall .
Re: Convalescing .....not! I know exactly how you feel.Bringing Dylan home from the orthopedic surgeon after his op after being kept in there for 2 days he did the most daftest thing for a 5 month old Lab in pain and jumped out of the car as soon as I opened the boot Good Luck ;D
Re: Convalescing .....not! Remember, Lady: 'An instant on the lips; a lifetime on the hips'.... Try not to drive poor David too insane... :
Re: Convalescing .....not! This morning's 10 minute lead walk was largely me being dragged around the field on the end of her lead in several directions at once while she found the perfect place for a pooh - 3 times.
