Sounds as if it could be kennel cough.

I agree with Stacia - very likely kennel cough.

Does sound like it. Try not to worry and step away from Google. Good luck at the vets tomorrow.

Try not to let her go mental running around and keep away from other dogs as it's very contagious. My boy was poorly recently and we thought it might be mild kennel cough(turned out to be something else in the end) and I just kept him on lead until I knew there were no other dogs around and kept him to a chilled out dawdle. If I met anyone I called out that we may have kennel cough and they gave us a wide berth.

Hopefully she'll be over it soon :)

    Poor girl.
Lilly was like this too - okay unless exerting herself, or pulling with her collar (had to use her slip lead as a figure-8 on holiday to stop her choking constantly).
Defo vet visit. They will probably not want you in the waiting room so be prepared for a an undercover operation when no-one is around.
Hope it isn't too bad a bout.

It does sound like kennel cough and it is going around this area (assume you're in Sussex). However when Molly had it back in the summer the symptoms disappeared within 2 days so it's not necessarily serious. Hope Millie feels better soon.

    Poor Millie!

Pongo had kennel cough, it lasted about a week. It was a mild bout, but sounded awful. We made all his walks off-lead (or we could have used a harness) so as to take all pressure off his throat - we even took his collar off while he was in the house. We also discovered honey.... we coated the back of a spoon with runny honey, then just let him lick it off very very slowly so it could gradually coat his throat. That really seemed to help (and he loved it).

Finally, we did our best to keep him reasonably quiet on his walks - no 'crazy dog' moments, and not too far. That wasn't so easy but seemed important, it helped a lot.

As someone else said.... step away from the Google button.... step away....
