Hi, these are some videos of Dexter's stop at a distance that I thought I'd share. Unfortunately no sound. The first one is Dexter stopping with a verbal command 'sit' and a hand signal with me holding a treat, then throwing it. Thank you Dexter for your advice on this, worked a treat in the garden and here I tried it at the beach as it was quiet. These are taken on his second day of learning. Not a massive distance but far enough for his first try outside of our garden. The second is the same but using a ball, the third there was a dog and person getting closer and the fourth is with the recall whistle and whistle stop. Enjoy, even without sound and plenty of shaky camera, lol. Hope this works it's taken me hours.

Very nice. He looks great in his harness. What kind is it?

    Hi, thank you.
pup-pup, the harness is called the Perfect Fit harness. It's great, comes in three parts, doesn't have to go over the dogs head as has several places that it joins together. It's really sturdy and tough. I read a review on the Labrador site about different harnesses and was wanting to change from our original one. I prefer the double ended lead from our other set though as has multiple ways to use it. I'll dig out the make of that too if you're interested.

I think every time someone has a ball Dexter is going to sit and wait, even more so when they have a chucker. Will keep an eye on this though
