I'd go to the vets to be on the safe side. Mabel had a urine infection and she was exactly the same happy and healthy. Better to check just in case.

Hi Colin and welcome to the forum.

Entire male dogs often have a little bit of "spotting" and it's perfectly normal, nothing to worry about. If it is more than a tiny bit, a strange colour or has a strong smell, then I would go and talk to your vet about it.

I would say if in doubt, check it out. Might be worth a quick trip to the vet.

As Fiona has said. A bit on the end is normal. I have two male labs one has it more than the other. It's a boy thing.

I've heard that neutering them can stop it. I'm not sure if it's a definite, though, and is a somewhat drastic measure for something so minor. I'm not planning to have my boy neutered, but if you were going to do it anyway, then you may find it helps.

Feel free to poke around the forum and introduce yourself and your boy in the Introductions section. We'd love to see a photo of him.

    Hi, welcome to the forum

It is definitely a boy thing, my boy did tend to grow out of it though, it became much less as he got towards being 2 years old. If it looks suspicious, and not just "like a boy thing" have it checked out.
