I'm wondering if anyone has any "whizzy tips" for this? Alfie is now 16 months old. He has reacted to all of his training quite nicely and successfully "decrated" about four months ago. He has routine, two walks a day and only left alone if we nip out for short periods and is really well behaved when we do - usually chews a bone and has a sleep. In the last couple of weeks he's taken to pulling wallpaper off in our hallway, close to his bed, usually just after having his breakfast and while we're there in the house, with him. He's been caught in the act a few times and told "no", and I've used bitter apple spray on the target area. He's a happy and affectionate lad, we play ball and do some training every day. What's going on here? Any suggestions for cause diversion or prevention? (Incidentally- all of his favourite chew toys will usually very close to him when he does this and some of his target areas were first damaged by our cat! Yes, the hall needs redecorating anyway after 14 months of puppy mania )

Sorry this made me smile. The thought of him lying in his bed eyeing up a piece of loose paper and giving it a pull! So satisfying pulling off wall paper.
I don’t know the answer as it’s quite specific but I would use it as a reason to get it redecorated and maybe stick to paint where he spends most of his time.

Can I borrow him as my hall has horrible wall paper that needs to come off ! Sorry not funny I know ;) why not try giving him a cardboard box to get ripping satisfaction from but make sure the cat starts the destruction first ?
