I have a pup now almost 6 mos old and he is now chewing up all the soft stuffed toys and looking for recommendation of chew toys ? I have one small kong and I think maybe I should get somemore, but dont want him to get bored with them. I believe he now has his adult teeth and this is why suddenly he is destroying the stuffed toys. Any suggestions would be great.
Hi Nancy! When our puppy became too ruthless for regular stuffed toys, he graduated to stuffed toys with rope inside instead. Kong do some, like this one, and other brands make them too (but I can only name UK ones off the top of my head!) They worked well for us (well, him!) Another great outlet for teething puppies is an old towel cut into strips, run under the tap, squeezed out, loosely twisted and frozen. It's cold, crunchy, satisfying to chew on and reusable! Good luck, let us know if you find any great products to recommend!
Hey Nancy, Try bully sticks as they support dental hygiene by helping scrape away plaque and tartar through your dog's chewing action.
Soft toys by Tuffy are much tougher than any others we have found. They are the only ones Cooper does not destroy. Her mission in life is to remove squeakers and crinkle wrap from the inside of all stuffed toys. She has help from Loki, our doggie daycare Samoyed.
