Harley and me are off to a doggie fun day & show. Depending on how she behaves when we get there, I might enter her into a few of the categories. Will let you know how we get on later
Re: Doggie fun day Just got back home. At first Harley was extremely 'hyper' and wanted to play with every dog we seen, but after 10-15 mins she calmed down. We watched 'most handsome dog' and she was really calm during that, so entered her into the next group 'prettiest bitch'. This is us waiting in the ring for the judge to walk around (over 40 dogs in this category) Sitting nicely in the ring by ternayacummings, on Flickr This was us walking around the ring Prettiest bitch fun day by ternayacummings, on Flickr This was us in the final 8 Prettiest bitch fun day by ternayacummings, on Flickr Final 8 for prettiest bitch by ternayacummings, on Flickr Waiting decision for prettiest bitch by ternayacummings, on Flickr Harley came 5th and won a rosette she did so well seeing as though we were sitting waiting for the judge to see all the dogs which took about 15-20 mins, then big dogs walked around the ring, then the small dogs, then top 8 were chosen and went to the centre of the ring, then another 5 min wait whilst the judge made his decision. Nearly the whole time she sat nicely and was calm (only once did she react - she spotted hubby in the crowd )
Re: Doggie fun day Well done Harley and you got a rossette , great photos Ternaya thank you, looks like you had a lovely time xx
Re: Doggie fun day She’s doing well to cope with all those distractions. Obviously she had a great trainer (YOU)
Re: Doggie fun day Ternaya , thats brilliant , not easy to keep a youngster in focus , very very well deserved
Re: Doggie fun day Sounds like you had a great day out Ternaya!what great experience and practice for Harley.....and the best part of it all...she won a rosette x
Re: Doggie fun day Hooray! Congrats Harley! As you probably guessed we didn't go! Had to spend the day on the house and garden as it's barren horribly neglected the last couple of weeks lol
Re: Doggie fun day Thank you all. I think she was the prettiest bitch too Stacia but I am biased the judge did she she was a beautiful but unusual colour for a red fox, and that she was in fantastic condition made me proud as I always question myself as to whether or not I'm doing the right things with her - especially as I've never had a dog before. It was a fantastic hour and a half. Next fun day us in September in Blaise castle, Bristol, if anyone is interested??
Re: Doggie fun day Sunday 7th September - 11am-4pm, judging etc starts at 12pm. I will probably get there around 11.30am and possibly go into the woods for half hour or so for Harley to run off some energy
