I suspect many of you may already support the research project Dogslife which is a web-based epidemiological study carried out in collaboration with Edinburgh, Liverpool, Manchester universities and the Kennel Club; if you do not then I highly recommend it. The aim of the project is to identify factors affecting the health and disease of Labrador dogs throughout life. I have been a member since 2011 and all that is required is to complete a monthly diary of one's dog providing information such as weight, exercise, health issues and food intake. Currently there are nearly 4000 Kennel Club, Labrador owners taking part in this worthy cause which I hope will find answers to conditions such as dysplasia. The website also allows members to keep a diary and photographs of their pets development. I am prompted to make this post as Benson has been selected to wear an accelerometer on his collar which measures how much movement he makes every minute and it will be interesting to see the exercise figures compared to the time spent sleeping! Re: Dogslife Yes, have been involved with his with my two. It was challenging taking a photo of Tuppence's mouth last week! ;D The results of the project will be fascinating.
Re: Dogslife
I am taking part with my young Lab but haven't, as yet, had to photograph his mouth ;D
It is not a problem but you need 2 people. One to lift his lip/ear and the other to take the photograph which is bound to contain the odd finger! Roger
