Hi everyone, i have a 19 month old yellow lab - male. I got him at 8 months and at a year old he started getting hot spots on his neck and face, he got them every 3 months so i thought it could be seasonal allergies so have him antihystamines which didn't help sadly. He was prescribed apoquel which i hate the idea of as it supresses his immune system and doesnt seem to stop the itching, he has been referred to a dermatologist who after nearly 2k worth of tests said he is allergic to dust mites and storage mites, they want me to give him immunotherapy injections going forward which are expensive and not guaranteed to cure him longterm, my new vet suggested citopoint injections which are safer than apoquel, does anyone have any experience or advice on this issue as i feel i dont know what to do for the best! Thanks in advance, faith and Simba x
