:( well the skin issues haven't cleared and in fact he has developed new spots. So it was back to the vet today with the OH. He feels a biopsy of some of the areas is needed for a definitive answer. And since we planned to have him neutered and microchipped at 6 mos, we decided to do it all now to keep him from multiple procedures. So now I'm a nervous wreck! Thursday morning at 7 am. My poor little black beast!

Poor old Edsel. I got Otis neuterd at six months, dont really know if it was the right time, but I was told it was an easier op at that age. xx

Poor little sausage - he will have some fur missing by the sound of it. But it's all really routine stuff and I'm sure he will be totally fine :) It is much easier on the boys....

Hopefully the biopsies will help the vet get to the bottom of things. Good idea to have it all done at once - by far the least stressful way.

Poor love, but it does make sense to get everything " done " whilst he is under , please let us know how he gets on :(

Hope you get Edsel's skin problem sorted out. It makes sense to get it all done at once.

My old lab got the snip at the age of 9 due to prostate problems. At the same time they removed some little warty things he had, of which there were quite a few including 4 or 5 on his face. He looked a very sorry sight when I got him home but he wasn't bothered. ;D

It's best to get it all done at once. Fingers crossed but I'm sure everything will be fine your worry will be keeping him calm while he's got stitches because he won't be bothered by it. ;D

Thanks everyone! I'm sure he'll be fine but just didn't want him to go through this at such a young age. Now my biggest task is somehow making sure he ingests nothing after 8 pm tonight!

I find it SO difficult - if I have a swim before 11am. Usually get up extra specially early to give just a tiny handful in her bowl with a splash of water otherwise she would be pestering me for breakfast ALL morning ::)

    Hope all is well.......

Heading in to vet in about an hour to collect the black beast. They said everything went fine. Now the waiting game on the results of the skin scrapings.
