Hello All This is bad news. Eevee has very suddenly started to 'click'. back leg clicking and a teeny tiny bit lame on the back left. when i say a tiny bit lame i really mean it. you have to stand and watch her for hours. the thing that alerted me to this malady was the noise. I think it's the back but could be the front, I just don't know. I'll have to take her to the Vet again. It makes me feel better that it came on suddenly (yesterday) and i like to hope that anything non injury caused would slowly rear its head.
Re: Eevee dog on the ill list Oh no! We need the sick list to be getting shorter, not longer... Hope you get on okay at the vets. Clare
Re: Eevee dog on the ill list Best of luck, fingers, toes, and paws crossed here. It's such a worry. If nothing else, get to the vet so you can find out what's wrong and hopefully stop worrying because it's nothing. Hugs to you, and a tummy rub for Eevee. If it's any comfort, during Charlie's long drawn out and extensive diagnosis, we had loads of people listening for crepitus in Charlie's elbows and hips. Some people were convinced it was there. Well, whether it was or wasn't, his elbows and hips turned out to be fine. :
Re: Eevee dog on the ill list Oh dear. Hope everything is okay. Will be waiting with baited breath until you let us know....in the meantime, try not to worry!! Seriously, puppies, stop making us worry!!!
Re: Eevee dog on the ill list Oh Sarah, everything crossed for Eevee here, please let it all be ok. Karen and Poppy xx
Re: Eevee dog on the ill list Really hope she is ok. Probably not in the slightest bit relevant but my left ankle clicks when I walk and it's lasted me 42 years so far. Comes and goes. No idea why. I hope it is nothing of significance in Eeevee's case as well.
Re: Eevee dog on the ill list It has to be said that I click constantly. my toes particularly and i have never really given it a moment's thought. never heard my dog click before though and now it's a regular event. my eldest daughter is poorly and i'm worried about her (she had a bad accident last june and is being slowly and painfully put back together) so i do wonder whether i'm attaching greater importance to E. dog's clicking because of that. have a horrible way of finding more things to worry about if im worried about something else. we'll just have to wait and see what vicki the vet says. thanks all for your best wishes. will let you know as soon as there's news. sarah
Re: Eevee dog on the ill list oh thank you karen. she's having a rotten time and is now off school for three weeks. hard when you're 13. spoke to vicky. she doesn't understand it, wonders whether it's attached to the fact that eevee has always walked / run funny. rather like a dressage pony with very high picking up front legs. i don't know. she's not in a desperate rush to see her. the fact that it started at a set time rather than come on slowly makes her wonder whether it'll go off slowly too. if it continues over a week, i'll take her in to be x-rayed i think. the stories on here do little for my positivity that everything will just be ok so i'm happy to spend the money to put my mind at rest. she didn't tell me to stop her exercise but to not veer from constrained exercise one day to running about the next. seems sensible but not as easy as one might imagine. :-\ so i'll keep my ears peeled.
Re: Eevee dog on the ill list Oh gosh,I'm not very good a wait and see hope she is ok and it passes in a couple of days and hope your daughters recovery is coming along too, Best wishes Angela
Re: Eevee dog on the ill list Ah, worrying for you. I know that it won't make any difference, but there is a good chance there is nothing wrong with Eevee. You know that, right?
Re: Eevee dog on the ill list What a worry for you, hope its nothing to serious for Eevee. i have heard barley click a few times before when he has stretched but not when walking normally. Sending get well soon vibes to your daughter, i am in my last year at school so i can not afford to miss any days as it is all revision and coursework at the moment, hope she gets better soon
