And our tiny Nell is doing great ! I cant believe how quickly she settled into our household , never a cry or whimper , no signs of missing anything from her previous life at all . We have discovered that her deafness is not total , she can hear very high pitched sounds and also some lower but still has trouble pin pointing the direction of sound , but it really hasn't stopped her enjoying life to the full . I still have her on a long training line on unfamiliar walks, but at our local Golitha Falls , she is off lead , keeps checking on me all the time and doesn't stray . I have to smile , this tiny dog who arrived refusing to eat, simply because she hadn't been fed properly , now eats like a little piggy and loves her raw food too ! She was only 3 kilos when she arrived, very skinny and with little muscle definition , but at her pre op check ( spay on Monday ) she was a whopping 4.4 kilos , even our Vet noticed the now defined muscle on her back end , due to diet and exercise ! She and Sam rub along very nicely , not in one anothers faces, but clearly friends , with the odd crackerdog session in the garden ! I am so very pleased that we rehomed Nell , she has fitted in a treat x

8 weeks? Gosh where has the time gone? She sounds like a wee bonnie lass. So lovely that they both rub along well, although I do wonder if Sam gets along with anybody, such a relaxed, chilled boy! :)

Hard to believe it's 8 weeks since Nell joined you and Sam, time certainly has flown by. What is even harder to believe is the massive change you have brought to Nell's life - she is fitter, healthier and much happier and enjoying her new life. It's wonderful to hear that her hearing problems aren't stopping off lead fun on familiar walks and no doubt you will gradually be able to allow off lead on other walks as they become familiar. I'm so happy for you all xx
