Barley has got an emotional attachment to a toy, out of all things. Its not just any toy, its a honking squealing purple fluffy octopus to be exact. Its a very strong bond between the two of them. Originally it was puzzle's toy, but she aint allowed anywhere near it now. If she picks it up he will walk over and take it from her mouth, very gently and delicately i might add. The other day he even took it out for a walk with him, he carried it all the way on our walk, not dropping it once even with the offer of treats. He is also a protective parent and worries about leaving it home unattended, he gets nervous about leaving octopus behind so it always has to be put away in a safe place ready for his return, well that is if we can get it off him as he is reluctant to let anyone else near it. Out of all the things barley has done, this is the strangest and most adorable trait that he has developed. (photos to follow)
Re: Emotional attachment Do you have any idea why he has become so attached to this particular toy? Interesting.

[/quote] Nope, he just loves it. It has been removed at the moment as he snapped at puzzle when she walked passed it the other day so he is having a few days without octopus
