Hi All, wondering if anyone can help, we have a nearly 12 week black Labrador puppy, he is currently on Harringtons kibble which is what his breeders had him on, we have had him for 2 weeks today and I was hoping to change him onto a better produce as I have heard/read not great reviews on the Harringtons, can anyone help with whether I should do this for a start really and if i should then what is the best food to get him onto and do I just swap it or do I need to add new food to current food gradually?>

Hi Flick, and a very warm welcome to you!

You will get as many answers to "what is the best food"? as people you ask.
There is no single good answer here.
Its the food that your dog does best on - good weight, shape, coat, kick-able poos etc - as well as what suits your pocket. The best food is the best that your pocket can afford I guess.

Quite a lot of us have used this dog food website,
    https://www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk/
but it isn't "the bible", can maybe just help shape some of our thoughts.

As far as swapping, do it at least over a week, but heading towards 10-14 days would be best, unless your existing food is really not suiting your pup in which case a straight swap might be more justified.
