Sadly our beautiful, faithful 13 year old chocolate girl was put to sleep at the vets this morning. As well as her ongoing breathing difficulties, she recently developed a tumour in her mouth that was inoperable at her age. Over the past two days it just got bigger and bigger and she was in obvious pain. I was with her all the time and she was I'm pleased to report that her passing was peaceful and dignified. She fell asleep with her head on my lap, with me telling her how much she was loved. I have spent most of today in tears and all the feelings of loss I experienced after losing our gorgeous chocolate boy Teddy in October came flooding back. Our 7 month old puppy Buddy seems confused and lost too, but has received lots of cuddles from all of us.

Re: Feeling SO sad Sorry to hear of your loss, I too loss my 13yr old last June and it was a very difficult time. I must admit the hardest thing was coming home to an empty house with no wagging tail to greet us, hopefully Buddy will ease the heartache a little and you his. X
