Just a quick question- i am changing , murphy onto Skinners, and dont know whether it is necessary to put him on the field and trial variety or just normal? I cant decide between field and trial salmon and rice or the skinners lamb and rice. Both are good for sensitive tums which murphy has, but unsure about which one???

The Field and Trial are VAT free, so cheaper! I fed my GSPs for years on Skinners and usually fed the Lamb and Rice, but occasionally fed the Salmon and Rice.

We feed Skinners Salmon & Rice too Frankie and if you buy it from Amazon on a pre-order basis you save money per bag which is about £3.00, it's free delivery and best of all you don't need to remember to order it, it just turns up. It's briliant!! xx

Exactly what Helen says , its good food too . We`ve had to change due to Sams fat intolerance , but both dogs were on this food happily until Sam was poorly x

Riley looked really well on the Duck and Rice but he didn't devour it with enthusiasm. He's always been a bit picky though ::)

Sorted! Just subscribed to field and trial salmon and rice once a month for Murphy (hoping he gets on with it!) and also subscribed once a month to field and trial puppy for maisie. The only thing is iv been slowly changing her over to the other skinners puppy but hopefully it wont be too different so she will be ok on it. This is brill as If this works out i will be paying just over £50 a month for both dogs, whereas before i was paying £50 on just murphy a month! And he was on symply which I am told is overpriced and going by the allaboutdogfood website isnt as good as skinners. Woop x

£50 a month really? I don't spend that on 2 fully grown adult dogs Frankie, are you sure? :) x

Well his big bag of symply was like £49 or something and I didnt pay much attention to how often i was buying it but it felt like about once a month. The thing is he was on the light version (vet told me to after he was castrated) and so i suspect he gets through more of it because its lower calorie and to me he always looks on the skinny side so he gets quite a lot of it. Oh also that bag was only 12kg not 15kg.
So how long should a 15kg bag last then? Iv set it up on amazon so that a bag of each (adult and puppy) comes once a month, is that right? Or will i have too much?

A 15kg bag lasts our two just over 3 weeks, so we have 1 bag per month, every so often we get 2 bags just to have a reserve incase anything happens. I would say you will have too much especially for Maisie ???

Chepi's food can cost up to £60 for a 15kg bag but on amazon I pay £36. She's an eukenba girl. What a saving! Saw it in pets at home for £55 recently.

Are you going to change Murphy's to every 2 months also Frankie until they are both on the same food? Just a suggestion :)

I dont know Helen, i might wait and see how much we get through first? I guess for the first 2 months its better to have too much than not enough, and I will see. That will be such a saving on what Im paying now! Thanks for the advice! I clearly dont have a clue! X
