Well how did your dogs get on in the UK over the weekend with the fireworks? It was like a major battle ground here at one point - more like an artillery barrage than fireworks. It must be difficult if your dog is nervous of the bangs. On the other hand the SBD did what she always does at these times - rolled on her back and snored loudly!

My dog is really scared of them. I played music with a loud beat to drown out the bangs, and put washing on. That did the trick and he was oblivious until late when we had to go to bed but the fireworks were still going. I'm going to work hard on trying to desentise him before the New Year starts them all up again. Poor boy, he really is such a softie. I feel like a grump but it stinks that they go on for days on end, and often up til midnight. Prior to this none of my dogs were sensitive to them so I took it for granted I guess that he would be fine :(

Wasn't too bad here - just a few neighbours letting fireworks off. Coco didn't bat an eyelid or flick an ear. I don't take it for granted, I know a dog can get spooked for reasons we will never know.

Our three were fine.:) I was out walking on the common with Benson and Bramble, and they were going off all over the place! We just stood and watched for a bit.

We didn't have any fireworks close enough to home to worry Bobby, just a couple of bangs when we were out in the daytime which made us all jump.

What did upset him though was on the night before there were ridiculously loud cars rallying round the country lanes across the valley in the middle of the night following a motor club rally nearby and he was too worried to toilet on his last walk before bed.
