I let Millie off lead this afternoon , heart in mouth :)
I often walk a local bridal path, it is firm ,flat , reasonably dry and with very high hedges either side, so I decided that this was the ideal environment for Millies first off lead scamper since her spay . Oh she did enjoy it , stayed pretty close to me and whilst she was only off lead for ten minutes , I could almost see the joy on her little face :) :)
I think it may be another week or so before I dare risk the woods off lead , in theory she should be fine but she tends to run after squirrels and I am paranoid about her snagging her wound on twigs and undergrowth , so its off limits for a little while longer , the bridal path will do for now :) :)

I'm sure she did enjoy rediscovering her freedom! And it does also sound like you found the perfect spot for it. :D :D

I am glad Millie is feeling so much better Kate.

And I like the sound of the bridal path… Is that a Freudian slip, since Millie has just been spayed?? ;) ;D ;)

    Happy Millie . ;D . That's lovely.

Another week and the stitches will soon be out and she can go where she likes. ;D

Millie had the subcutaneous stitches so they will disolve away , no bits of stitch for her to pull at either , she hasnt bothered with the wound at all . Just looking at the pair of them right now, play fighting over a fluffy banana , not easy to keep her calm :)
