Hi, I feed Meg on Arden Grange weight control (she's almost 14) mainly because she put weight on 6 years ago and it helped her to lose weight and now I keep her on it for maintenance.

I've found Arden Grange to be really good, it's hypo allergenic and contains glucosamine and choindoitin. I've never found it in places like Pets at Home or supermarkets so order it online. Maybe have a look at their range and see if there's anything suitable for your 12 month old.

    Hi Rushers,
    Welcome to the Forum.
I think you will get a different answer from most of the people you ask. We use a wide variety of different branded kibble on here, as well as some wet foods, and raw food diets, and there doesn't seem to be a standard best food.
Some foods suggest to keep with a puppy food until 18 months, some 12 months, and there are some opinions that switching to an "adult food" earlier might be beneficial for bones and joints and growth generally.
I am of the opinion you should use the best food you can afford.
The Which Dog Food website MIGHT help http://www.whichdogfood.co.uk/
On the other hand it might just confuse you!

I am wondering what food you have used so far, and whether you just want to switch to the adult version of the same food if you are otherwise happy?

    This article might help: http://www.thelabradorsite.com/my-labrador-wont-eat-his-food-any-more/

Charlie went through a period of being a bit fussy, it went alongside a period where we thought it was nice for him to have stuff added to his kibble (and when we didn't add stuff, or not the stuff he preferred, he'd be unenthusiastic). Also, I think he was getting a tad too much food. A hungry dog, faced with fresh good quality kibble and we were sorted in no time.
