I'm so sorry, I'm new and confused, is this a site only for owners of Labradors? We have a Golden Retriever 7 month old and came here from the Happy Puppy site to seek information on raw feeding. Do I need to seek out a Golden Retriever forum? Thanks

Hi Jacklyn, I'm glad you've found the forum! It's quite a Labrador-y place, but you're still most welcome. I'm sure you'll find lots of the discussions and advice here could apply equally to your Golden Retriever - after all Labs and Goldens have a lots in common! Our sister site (which is called The Labrador Site - but please don't be put off!) has this article about raw feeding, which you might find interesting. Alternatively, I'm sure if you start a new thread asking about raw feeding our members will be happy to pitch in with their experiences!

Hi Jackyln, We love all breeds of dogs! And as Sarah has said, there are an awful lot of similarities between Labs and Goldies. And of course between all breeds in many respects. A very warm welcome :)

    Hi jacklyn
There is a raw feeding section on the forum but it's not busy like some of the raw feeding Facebook groups im in, so if you want quick answers to questions you might be better off checking out, for example, Raw Feeding UK on Facebook ( or if you're not UK based I'm sure there'll be something similar where you are).
I love raw feeding my lab X collie. He enjoys it so much and I'm sure it's helped with his behaviour. I also think it works out cheaper. I try not to be too evangelical about it though, I appreciate it's not for everyone. The article on the Labrador site mentioned above is a good balanced overview if you're just starting out.
