Hey all, So, we've been staying with the friends who have Willow and Shadow's littermate, Annie, this weekend. I just wanted to run this past you. She dribbles (from her mouth!) in her sleep and wakes up with a wet side of face or chin. It's quite a lot. It doesn't smell and she has no problems eating, having her mouth touched, playing rough with my two, and she doesn't do it when awake. Do you think this could just be symptoms of teething? She's only been doing it a couple of days and she's absolutely fine in herself. Poo is good, etc. Is it normal, or does it warrant a vet's trip? Thanks!
Re: Friend's puppy dribbling in sleep Harley drooled a lot in her sleep when she was teething too so I wouldn't be too worried, especially as there is no smell or discomfort when touching her mouth x
Re: Friend's puppy dribbling in sleep I think she's dreaming of food I bet you had fun with THREE pups!!

She snores in her sleep, too, so maybe it has something to do with that?
I bet you had fun with THREE pups!!
Willow, stop eating that! Shadow, stop humping your sister! Annie, stop digging there! All of you, stoppitstoppitstoppit! ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! But a LOT of fun, yes.
Re: Friend's puppy dribbling in sleep It was also fun with the big dog, Buster. He was SO good with them all. He'd play tug with a rope toy with them but so gently. He weighs 36kg ( ) so is a very strong lad and when he plays with one of us, he puts everything he has into it. But with them, he'd let them "win" and give up the rope - or even a ball, his favourite!! - after a minute or so. There were times they were all hanging off one part or another of him and he didn't flinch. Shadow took a real shine to him and wanted to cuddle up and sleep with him the whole time, which was very cute. Yesterday, when the pups were playing amongst themselves, Buster obviously decided they were getting too rough and needed to break them up, so he barked (his big, deep bark) at them. They ignored him, so he put his paw in and split them up, sending Willow rolling. After that, he just needed to woof and they'd scatter. I wish I had that control!

He's a lovely boy. A complete reprobate as a youngster, but now he has to act all grown up with a new baby sister around
