Our two have their ( official ) last meal at around 3.30 - 4.p.m. They eat side by side in the kitchen, Sam with a huge bowl and Millie with a very small one containing about a quarter of Sams ammount . We havent ever had an guarding issues with Millie , rare for a former stray , but never a sound as they munch away , but its what happens when they finish that ammuses me They seem to finish at around the same time and immediately they swap dishes, each moving to the others ones bowl, just in case a morsel has been left . Once checked, they change places yet again, often doing this three or four times like some sort of bizarre dance movement , it is funny to see, considering that never a tiny bit of tea is left in either dish in the first place
Re: Funny at feeding time Oh Kate - my old boys used to do exactly the same! Never any food guarding or aggression, just checking that the other one hadn't inadvertently left some minuscule morsel behind...

Re: Funny at feeding time Our old dog and cat used to do that. Sheba would sit and patiently wait for Sandy cat to finish and then they'd both go to the others bowl.
