I just had to share this short story. A few moments ago, Daisy (now 14 weeks and 29 pounds) found out, much to her surprise, that she is now big enough to jump onto the big, comfy chair in the living room. She'd been trying to get to the cats, who had thought they were safe up there, and all of a sudden, she landed right on top of them! Very startled cats leaped one way, equally startled Daisy tried to follow, and the whole procession ran across the side table, knocking off the lamp, leaping onto and over the couch, at which point, Daisy tripped on her own big feet and collapsed into a panting, puppy puddle. She's now on a "time out" in her crate. Luckily the lamp didn't break and all the animals are fine! Where's the video camera when I want it??
Re: Funny Stories Ha ha ha ha!Bet that was a hectic few moments!glad everyone was ok!i don't know who would have been more surprised ,the cats at being landed on or Daisy that she'd caught them! X
Re: Funny Stories The poor cats have been appalled since the day Daisy arrived! I think they thought they'd gotten it figured out, height-wise, but now will have to readjust. She just doesn't see why they won't play! :
Re: Funny Stories I love it when dogs surprise themselves ;D They have such expressions which gives it all away, very comical.
Re: Funny Stories Along these same lines... I was practicing a down-stay in the living room this afternoon with all three dogs. I walked around a big comfy chair and called Daisy, blithely assuming she'd trot around the chair on the floor, but noooooo! She leaped onto and over the chair, crashing at my very surprised feet, along with that same poor lamp, and sat beautifully, waiting for her treat! Silly me. And I teach math... "the shortest distance between two points is a straight line." :
