Lovely morning if a little cold. The garden is a complete mess because the grass was under water most of the winter and has either died or is covered in mud. My son is getting married on Saturday next and we have visitors that weekend so all hands to making at least the patio look presentable. It was covered in mud until I spent some elbow grease on it. Dead plants in pots etc all needed clearing. Anyway it looks much better now and I have the seal of approval from SWMBO. Lady loves to come out in the garden with me to "help". The usually meant generally sticking her head where I was trying to hoe, or pulling plants out of pots when she was a puppy. Now that she is a grown up girl, she has changed tactics to supervising the work. This means basking in the sun and watching me. If I shift position, she moves too.

They really are great company as dogs, and they are good listeners too. Lady never tries to fix anything when I discuss problems - just listens and understands. Neighbours must think I'm nuts!

Oh aren't they just? I was without a dog so long, I'd (almost) forgotten that feeling of calm a restful dog can exude. Nothing like it in the world. :)

Good luck for the patio clearing, and the wedding next weekend.

    A wedding? That's wonderful.
Now if you were a woman......we would have known about that ages ago!
How is Rosemary? Is she fully recovered from being unwell? I bet she is excited :)

Glad you had a lovely time in the garden with Lady. How lovely that your son is getting married, you do know that wellies and walking gear won't cut it ;D

I am no gardener, but have a water logged garden too and don't really know what to do about the grass, any ideas please?

    xx

Lady obviously has excellent supervisory skills :) All that sounds like a lot of hard work.

Hope the wedding goes wonderfully well :)
