With the south west now on level 3 alert and this afternoons temps reaching 31 degrees in our garden , we are going nowhere : The dogs had a short walk at the woods this morning, both had a swim, Vets for Millies second shots and an examination ( no pups, Vet is 99% certain ) home for 9.30 and that been it, both have dozed the day away , the odd potter outside to lie in the shade under the apple tree but no more walks , I`d drop to the floor let alone them :

(what a scorcher) Yup no walks here either except into the field as far as the river (1/4 mile) for a quick dip (dog that is) then back to collapse - - behind the sofa up against an outside wall - in the garden under a tree - back behind the sofa - finally flat out on the shady part of the patio Me - working until dozed off at the keyboard for 20 mins. ;D Going out to the pub tonight for a meal together (OH not the dog). Wedding anniversary!

I am pretty much housebound at the moment, but other half took Pops to the local pond and stream for a bit of retrieving, and this evening the garden is lovely, so we are happy. Even though Poppy keeps eyeing my garden pond with ever-increasing interest... I just know she is going to 'drop' a toy in there soon.... "I HAD to get it out, Mum!'
Re: Going nowhere Congrats David! Kate - sort of congrats (have to say was hoping for puppy pics...) The most amazing thing tonight - in London, on top of Wimbledon hill, we have....WIND! Oh my, it's lovely, we went out on the common with the pup and it was blissful - he galloped around and got rid of all that energy. Now, windows open and house is cooling....
