Brownie will go potty outside (we have even stayed outside for an hour or two) then she will run in and go potty in the house within 5 minutes of being inside. What is going on?

It's possible that if you spend a long time waiting outside for her to go, she hasn't made a link between going outside to wee / poo. She went outside simply because she happened to be out there when she needed to go... It might help to keep garden trips short, with a focus on toileting, not on playing. So keep taking her out regularly - every time she wakes up, just after she has eaten etc - and only allow her a couple of minutes. If she doesn't go, head back in. Then watch her like a hawk!!! Any sign of circling / sniffing, and go straight back outside. When she goes outside, lavish praise upon her...

See what others say. That would be my first thought. Also, if you have her meals on a regular routine, you'll get to know her bowel habits pretty quickly! ::) You can then anticipate all necessary trips, and also how many times she then goes...

    I agree with Clare.
Big big praises when she goes outside with a really good tasty treat.
If she goes inside, try not to react, just deal with it quietly without making a bit fuss.
Mostly you need to be really on the ball to watch out for cue signals that she is about to squat.

Same as Clare and Jac :). Lots of praise and treats when she goes outside :)

Yep I get extatic when she goes outside. She gets treats and praise. She is soooo hard headed lol. We went all day with just one accident. We spend a lot of time outside doing yard work when we can (Right now we are expecting a foot of snow -_- so no yard work). I don't like to leave her inside when we are all outside.
