    I've had a total knee replacement, and I think the recovery for a partial is a bit different. It was initially a lot more uncomfortable than the hip and recovery took quite a lot longer. I think it's largely an attitude of mind and recovery is better and quicker if you take the pain killers and religiously do the exercises and just grit your teeth.
