i'm new to The Labrador Forum. Yesterday, we had to make the difficult decision to give our sweet 11 yo Chewy boy his angel wings so that he could join his brother, Vader, over the Rainbow Bridge. We know that he's resting now and no longer in pain. Our hearts are broken. We have wonderful memories of Chewy. We were certain that we'd have a few more years with him, but life is uncertain and fleeting - something we can't change and something that we must accept. I know the days ahead will be challenging and that I'll find myself longing for his company. I'm happy to have found this forum to help me through my grief.
So sorry to hear about Chewy. It’s such a hard decision to make, but a relief they are comfortable and dignified in the end. It’s not easy, be kind to yourself and remember the happy times . Best wishes Emma and Meg.
Hi,I'm so sorry for your loss of chewy. He will be in your hearts forever and a time will come when you think of him and smile and not feel the awful pain off his loss and the hurt of missing him. Thinking of you.
So sorry to hear your sad news, try and remember all the happy, positive and funny moments you both/all shared in chewy's life . Family B is thinking of you x.
Sorry for your loss and we lost our beautiful girl Shadow 2 years ago at 13yrs and miss her everyday!
