Archie my 12 year old lab has green poo! Its been like this for about a month. He has bad athritic back legs, and struggles to poo, usually does it whilst walking or has accidents in the house. He hasnt been chewing grass, we havent changed his food. Im at a loss what it could be? Hes due for a check up soon so ill mention it to vet, but just wondered if anyone had come across this?

If nothing else has changed in his diet except the colour of Archie's poo I'd have the vet check him out and not wait for his check-up

There are a number of things that can cause green poo. If he hasn't been eating grass or rabbit muck I'd be going to the vet I'm afraid. It could be anything from intestinal upset or worms to gall bladder. Good luck I hope he's back to normal soon. Take a sample if you go to the vet I think the colour of green and consistency will give an idea of the problem ::).

Hi there, if there is a significant change and no obvious reason I would advise a vet visit ...my dogs poo was greenish when he had giardia.
    Best wishes

Green is not a normal color....I'd be taking both dog and poo to the vet. Can't be too careful with the older ones in my opinion.

Yes. I'd definitely be taking bloods. There is a green bile pigment so I'd be thinking along the liver/intestine/gall bladder route possibly.
